About

About Keji.

Keji is a HCPC Registered Biomedical Scientist, skin therapist, educator and the founder of SDK Skin Aesthetics, a specialist skin clinic based in Liverpool. Her work is focused on corrective treatment of hyperpigmentation, acne, acne scarring and skin health, with particular depth in skin of colour.

SDK Skin Aesthetics was founded on a simple belief: too many people are receiving the wrong treatment for the wrong problem. Rather than offering one-size-fits-all facials or encouraging clients to choose treatments themselves, every client begins with a detailed skin consultation, allowing treatment plans to be built around the individual rather than the treatment menu.

Background

Training and practice.

Keji is a Liverpool-based skin therapist and educator. Her clinical focus is corrective skin work: hyperpigmentation, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, acne, scarring and overall skin health, with particular depth in treating skin of colour, an area that is still under-served by mainstream aesthetics training.

Her work is centred around evidence based corrective skin treatments, with a clinical focus on hyperpigmentation, post inflammatory hyperpigmentation, acne, acne scarring, skin health and skin of colour. Combining a scientific background with advanced aesthetic practice, her approach prioritises understanding the underlying cause of a skin concern before selecting the most appropriate treatment.

How the clinic works

What's actually different about SDK.

Not values statements. Process facts, the things that change what an appointment looks and feels like.

01

Every new client starts with an assessment.

Before any treatment is booked, your skin is looked at properly, history, lifestyle, current routine and what you've tried before. The plan comes out of that, not a menu.

02

Plans are reviewed, not fixed in advance.

Skin doesn't move in a straight line. What's right at session one often isn't right at session four. Treatments are adjusted as your skin actually responds.

03

Skin of colour is a specialism, not an add-on.

Darker skin tones need different protocols, particularly around pigmentation, peels and energy-based work. That depth of knowledge sits at the centre of the practice, not at the edges.

04

If a treatment isn't right, you'll be told.

Some of the most useful consultations end with 'not yet'. Selling treatment that won't work is worse than recommending none at all.
